Lockheed Martin Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The selected candidate will function as an Information System Security Officer in Colorado Springs, CO supporting Space Systems Company Intelligence Community classified programs. The candidate will be responsible for the development of the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation for the classified Information Systems (IS) in support of the classified Program under the SP Line of Business as well as for performing other ISSO functions as directed by the National Programs Information Systems Security Risk Analyst Manager and the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).

This position requires the development and implementation of government approved information systems security procedures and system security plans for the operation of networked and standalone classified computers systems, as well as coordinating government agency approvals/accreditations. Must have solid technical knowledge on how to configure, harden, and manage the security posture on Windows and Linux based information systems. Consult on the design, development, integration, and analysis of classified computing systems. Candidate will be responsible for periodic system self-inspections/testing, weekly system audits, conduct media reviews and comprehensive investigations of computer security incidents, coordinating with other organizations for expertise as needed. Candidate must be able to multi-task and work independently. Additional scope will include policy interpretation, ongoing guidance and direction to onsite personnel on Information System Security issues, and participation in applicable Review Boards and Technical Exchange Meetings. Individual will interact with customer personnel on a regular basis regarding ongoing compliance and to coordinate system modifications. Knowledge of the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) and the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 Risk Management Framework is a plus.

General Description: Develop and oversee the implementation of government approved information security procedures for the operation of multiple networked and standalone classified computers to ensure program information confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Perform IS Security oversight self-inspections of computers and network devices to assure compliance with approved security plans. Coordinate with Program Management, Program Security, and personnel from other internal organizations as needed in developing solutions or resolving computer and network security issues. Conduct comprehensive investigation of IS Security incidents, coordinating with other organizations for expertise. Conduct end-user IS Security training. On occasion may be required to provide support to off-site locations. Must be able to multi-task in a high-stress, rapidly changing engineering development environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision; team orientated. Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve problems, and to develop and follow process documents. Must have excellent communication skills as the position requires significant coordination with program management and technical personnel.

Basic Qualifications Experience in network security and systems certifications. Technical understanding of Windows based systems Candidate must possess a current Top Secret/SCI to start. Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or other professional certification as stipulated in DoD 8570/DoD 8140 or be able to obtain one within 180 days of hire. The candidate shall be experienced in implementing information system security policies; develop documentation to support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Accreditation (A&A), understand the fundamentals of network design, system engineering, security practices and securing networks. Strong technical writing experience preferred. Familiarity with Windows client/server background, UNIX/LINUX technical experience and knowledge of OS security requirements a plus.

Desired skills Security+ or CISSP Certification or be able to attain within 6 months. Experience with Intelligence Community Security Directives, Policies, Publications and Regulations. Excellent communications skills A minimum of 10 years of experience as a SCI Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and knowledge of the ICD 503 Risk Management Framework and/or experience Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) and/or Joint Air Force, Army, Navy (JAFAN) 6/3 policies regarding Information Assurance. Knowledge of network design/architecture, desktop support, help desk, or asset deployment processes. Successful candidate must be a team builder, and possess outstanding technical writing, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be a self-starting problem solver with the ability to work with government civilian personnel in a potential high stress environment with limited supervision.
